Teen stabbed outside shopping centre in Melbourne’s west, alleged offenders on the run

A teenager has been rushed to hospital with stab wounds after he was allegedly set upon by a group of people outside a shopping centre.

A teenager has been rushed to hospital after he was allegedly stabbed outside a Caroline Springs shopping centre in Melbourne’s west.

Police were called to Lake St, near CS Square shopping centre at 5.15pm on Thursday following reports of a stabbing.

Police believe a group of armed offenders got out of a car and approached the teenager in a laneway before assaulting him.

The teen suffered stab wounds to his hand and upper body and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with “serious injuries”.

The alleged offenders fled the scene in their car before police arrived.

Images from the scene show clothing covered in blood left on a nearby footpath.

The incident comes just weeks after three people were allegedly assaulted by a group of machete wielding teens at Bayside Shopping Centre in Frankston.
