Man fighting for life after being hit by car in Logan, Queensland
A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car at a busy intersection, with police alleging the driver initially fled the scene.
A pedestrian is fighting for life after being hit by a car south of Brisbane.
Police say the man was hit by a white Colorado dual cab at the intersection of Bourke St and Chambers Flat Rd, Waterford West at abotu 8.20pm on Thursday.
The pedestrian, a 29-year-old Loganlea man, suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Police allege the driver of the car – a 25-year-old man from Redland Bay – initially fled the scene.
However, he later returned to the site of the crash and has been assisting police with their investigation.
“Officers are appealing to anyone with information or relevant footage to contact police,” a police statement read.
