A man has been arrested and is expected to be charged with murder after a 60-year-old man was found dead inside a home in Adelaide’s western suburbs overnight.
Emergency services were first called to a business on Henley Beach Rd in Torrensville at about 12.30am on Tuesday, after security alarms were triggered.
Police discovered upon arrival that several businesses had been broken into and located a 32-year-old man nearby.
A South Australia Police spokesperson said the man had suffered a leg injury as a result of the alleged break-ins.
After speaking with the 32-year-old, police were directed to a property in nearby Cowandilla, where they located the body of a 60-year-old man.
Police believe the victim was a resident at the address and the men were known to one another. The 32-year-old man has since been arrested and is currently receiving medical treatment for his leg injury.
“It is expected the man will be charged with murder and other related property offences once his medical treatment is completed,” a SA Police spokesperson said.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
