Elisha Dalah in rehab for drugs less than two years after shoplifting sentence, court told

A Sydney socialite banned from Bondi Westfield in 2023 for shoplifting has had her battle with drugs laid bare in court.

How do juries decide a verdict?

A socialite once banned from Bondi Juction Westfield will leave rehab and return to her Sydney home as she awaits sentencing for a drug supply charge, a court has been told.

Elisha Dalah, 38, is the daughter of ex-Elizabeth Bay Marina co-owner Michael Dalah. She is the elder sibling of Fishbowl founder Nathan Dalah, and sister-in-law to his Victoria Secret model wife Georgia Fowler.

Ms Dalah was represented by solicitor Carla Velasquez in Downing Centre Local Court on Monday after being charged with one count of supplying prohibited drugs in a small quantity.

She pleaded guilty to the charge in February.

On Monday, Ms Velasquez appealed for a review of Ms Dalah’s bail conditions to transfer the socialite from a rehabilitation centre back to her home in Point Piper, an affluent harbourside suburb in Sydney.

“She has finished the 90-day rehabilitation program, and will be transitioned to the outpatient program,” Ms Velasquez said.

The barrister told the court Ms Dalah will have the added condition of an 8pm to 6am curfew, unless “attending a Narcotics Anonymous meeting”.

Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge granted the change and remarked: “It’s good that she’s doing so well.”

The 38-year-old previously avoided jail after being caught stealing luxury face creams and designer clothing from a Westfield shopping centre in July 2022.

Ms Dalah was sentenced in 2023 to a 20-month intensive correction order and 200 hours of community service for two counts of larceny over the incident.

She was also ordered to pay a $500 fine for entering Westfield Bondi Junction while banned.

Ms Dalah is due to return to Downing Local Court for sentencing on her drug charge on April 22.
