Darwin fuel profits 10x Adelaide: ACCC
A REPORT on the Darwin fuel market by the ACCC says a lack of competition helped retailers reap profits almost 10 times that of those in Adelaide.

FUEL retailers in Darwin were making up to 10 times that of those in Adelaide because of a lack of competition, an Australian Competition and Consumer Commission report has found.
THE ACCC's report on Darwin's petrol market, released on Monday, found that in the 2013-14 financial year, the net profit per site in Darwin was around $1.2 million, compared to Adelaide where average profits for most of the same companies that year were between $100,000 to $200,000 per site.
