A teenager who was killed in a buggy rollover in regional Victoria has been remembered as someone who “brought joy and love” to those around her.

Charlee Neven, 13, and a 47-year-old man were both found dead after a buggy rolled over at a property in Tubbut just before 11pm on Saturday.

A second child passenger was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while another adult passenger — believed to be Charlee’s father — was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The 13-year-old’s dog “keeps looking for her” following the accident.

“On Saturday 5th of October we lost our beautiful Choo in a tragic accident,” a Go Fund Me page set up for Charlee’s family read.

“It wasn’t recklessness or part of a ‘large family gathering’ as media have reported. It was a tragic accident in that 2 people were killed and a father and son had to endure the hardest day of their lives.

“She leaves in mourning the best mother in the world, brothers that love her beyond words and her Wally Walter sausage dog who keeps looking for her.”

Charlee was also described as someone who “brought joy and love” to those around her.

“She was the light and the sunshine in our family and to her friends and community,” the fundraiser read.

“She brought joy and love as she sped through every adventure she could find.”

The fundraiser was launched to give Charlee’s family “some time to grieve without worrying about paying bills and to help pay for the funeral”.
