SIX members of the Bandidos bikie gang have ridden to Darwin from interstate to take part in a “mystery ride” later today, NT Police have confirmed.
Detective superintendent Scott Pollock said the arrival of one of the Bandidos members was delayed after he was arrested for drug/driving offences in Katherine.
“Police will be monitoring the behaviour of the group while in Darwin to ensure they do not breach traffic or licensing laws,” he said.
“The Bandidos have reached out to local motorcycle enthusiasts to join them in a ‘mystery ride’ tomorrow that is no longer a mystery as police are aware of their intentions.”
The NT News understands the bikie gang will celebrate at their club house in Winnellie tonight.
The Darwin chapter opened in 2015 and is reportedly low on numbers.
