Woman, 28, found deceased at Gunn Point after two-day search

A 28-year-old woman has died after she went missing at the weekend.

NT Police found a woman believed to be Amy Pike in bushland near Gunn Point on Monday evening, more than 48 hours after she was last seen on Saturday in the Palmerston suburb of Gray.

A police spokesman said the woman’s white Mazda had been spotted in Gunn Point about 6.30pm Monday, prompting a search of the region.

“Police, including forensics, remain at the scene,” the spokesman said at 10am.

Police first called for information relating to Ms Pike’s whereabouts on Monday afternoon.

It was believed the young woman could have been in the Howard Springs Reserve area.
