UPDATE: A woman who was shocked in a lightning strike on Wednesday is now feeling “enlightened and rewired.”

Chloe Erlich said she had a positive attitude after her Alice Springs home was struck, causing minor injuries for her and her 12-year-old son.

“I’m glowing,” Ms Elrich said, who called herself ‘Glowing Chloe.’

“I feel blessed, calm, enlightened, rewired. I feel like I have a purpose and I’m meant to be here.”

Ms Erlich and her son, Bradley, were taken to hospital after the concrete at the front of their house was struck and they were both shocked.

“I fell to the ground,” Ms Erlich said.

“My son saw the lightning first and described it as a blue flash. He said he felt like his body was on fire and had sore shoulders.”

“It felt like the house had moved a few inches and a bomb went off inside my chest.”

Ms Elrich and her son have both returned home to rest and recover.

“My son is a bit sore, but he is okay,” she said.

“It feels like I’ve run a marathon, but I’m still feeling positive.”
