Fire destroys home in Sadadeen, cause unknown
A serious house fire on the outskirts of Alice Springs kept authorities busy overnight, along with a number of break-ins around the region.

UPDATE, SAT AUG 20: A home on the outskirts of Alice Springs was completely destroyed by fire overnight, with investigators working to determine the cause.
The house on Nardoo Crt in Sadadeen became fully engulfed around 7pm on Friday.
Southern Watch Commander Allan Milner said it was “extremely lucky” no one was injured.
“It was eventually brought under control by the fireys,” he said.
Also overnight in the region was a break-in in Alice, two break-ins in Tennant Creek, and a motor vehicle was stolen but later recovered by authorities.
Southern Watch Commander Millner said a little bit of cash was stolen, but nothing too much of note.
MISSING 12-YEAR-OLD FOUND
UPDATE: The 12-year-old boy who was reported missing in Alice Springs has been found.
LeShaun Dixon Long was reported missing after disappearing from his local Shopping Centre on Bath St.
Northern Territory Police would like to thank the community for their concern and assistance.
EARLIER: A TWELVE-year-old boy has been missing for two days after disappearing from a Central Australian shopping centre.
Northern Territory Police are urging the public to come forward with any information to help find 12-year-old LeShaun Dixon Long.
Police said LeShaun was last seen on Monday August 15, at the local Shopping Centre on Bath St.
Family members searched the immediate area however, have not been able to locate LeShaun. He has had no known contact with friends or family since that time.
Police and family hold concerns for the youth’s welfare, as he suffered from an underlying medical condition which requires medication.
LeShaun is described as Aboriginal with a skinny build with black hair.
He was last seen wearing a Moran jumper, black shorts and black Nike shoes.
Police urge anyone who has seen LeShaun or has information as to his whereabouts, to contact them on 131 444.
