NT Police say the woman was found at a residence in Sadadeen at 2pm on Friday and was now receiving medical treatment for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The alleged offender, an 18-year-old man, was also found and arrested.

“This was a brutal and completely abhorrent domestic violence assault, and the offender will be charged later today,” Senior Sergeant Chay McArthur said.

“Police would like to thank members of the community for their assistance, and our Aboriginal Liaison Officers and investigative team for their tireless work.”
