Territorians in the Top End will be able to have an “easy drinking” – and potentially award-winning – namesake beer at Darwin Festival, in what its Red Centre brewer is calling a “massive win”.
The Alice Springs Brewing Co is partnering with this year’s Darwin Festival, taking beers from the Red Centre to the Top End.
Brewery owner Kyle Pearson said getting the partnership with the Top End festival was a “massive win”.
“While partnerships of this size are common for larger outfits, for us this is a game changer and means we can expand things like capacity and people power,” he said.
Running from August 7-24, Darwin Festival will bring foodies from all over as the Territory’s capital showcases a number of delectable delights.
Mr Pearson’s brewery will bring its “easy drinking” Territorian beer range, alongside Specificale (a Pacific Ale) and the Oh! Ginger alcoholic ginger beer.
The Territorian beer range will also head to Melbourne this month for the Melbourne Royal Australian International Beer Awards.
Mr Pearson will be hoping he can bank off the company’s success at the Royal Queensland beer awards, where the brewery’s newly acquired South Australian venue Beer Garden took home an award for best session ale.
“Darwin Festival has a long history of putting on cracking line-ups and I know this year will be no exception – even better that the punters can enjoy an NT owned and produced beer while soaking in everything that Darwin Festival has to offer,” he said.
The partnership comes as the brewery celebrates its sixth year in business, with September set to mark seven years since the first key was poured.
