Abbie Chatfield is coming to the Territory, with men and women of all ages encouraged to join the media personality for an evening of explosive storytelling, including detailing some of the most dramatic experiences of her dating life.
On November 23 at Darwin Entertainment Centre, Ms Chatfield, aided by PowerPoint, will dedicate an entire evening to revealing some of her most raw and unfiltered stories in her show, The Trauma Dump Tour.
The structure of the show, which is completely unscripted, allows Ms Chatfield to have more of a casual discussion with the audience.
“I feel like I’m better when I go off conversationally,” she told this masthead.
“So the PowerPoint is just to keep me on track, rather than me going on tangents.”
Curiously, Ms Chatfield said the topics that will be covered feature stories that are not legally appropriate for the podcast format.
“I can’t talk about them on a podcast or on TV because I might get sued by these weirdos,” she laughed.
“Unless they buy a ticket – and they can’t record it – so no one can say I am defaming them.”
Ms Chatfield’s relatable storytelling has generated a strong following among young women, with a whopping half-a-million followers on Instagram alone.
However, the influencer revealed her audience appeared to have diversified as of late.
“In my head, I feel like the show is for women aged 19 to 30,” she said.
“But when I did the tour last time in the city, there were a lot of peoples’ straight boyfriends.
“And I was like ‘What’s up with that, straight men hate me’, so that was exciting.”
Age diversity also appears to be on the rise, with even elderly women having also been spotted among her crowds.
On a personal note, Ms Chatfield said she was particularly looking forward to coming back to the Top End, with the FBoy Island presenter well acquainted with the local scene from her Tourism NT collobaration.
“I’ve come to Darwin a few times and I f--king love the NT, I’m obsessed with it,” she said.
“Maybe I will go to Monsoons after (the show).”
