The hunt is over for job seekers in the Territory with Maccas offering up hundreds of new positions across the NT.

TIDY up your resume and dig out your tax file number because Macca’s are offering 250 new positions at their takeaway restaurants across the Territory.

With a workforce of more than 100,000 people already, McDonald’s said it will be offering thousands of full-time, part-time and casual roles to fill its 1010 restaurants across the country.

In total, the fast food giant is hiring 11,000 people across Australia with the Territory scoring 250 of the new job opportunities.

McDonald’s chief people officer Emma Napoli-Hala said the company was proud to “play an important role” during these difficult times.

“McDonald’s is looking to employ people of all ages and experience levels, offering a supportive working environment, outstanding training and development opportunities and the flexibility to suit all circumstances,” she said. “We are proud to provide essential job opportunities for more than 11,000 Australians right now, as part of this year’s recruitment drive.”

Ms Napoli-Hala added that Macca’s was focused on providing employees with “professional development” in the form of training and on-the-job experience to attain the skills they need to develop their career and future success.

“So many of our people have started their careers with McDonald’s on the restaurant floor and gone on to become restaurant managers, franchisees and senior leaders at our head offices across the country,” Ms Napoli-Hala said.

“By supporting the professional development of our people, we know we can help make a genuine positive contribution to the local areas we operate in and provide workplace skills applicable to any career.

“Whether you are looking for your first job, interested in a career in management, want to sharpen your barista skills, or simply pick up some casual work, we would love to hear from you.”

McDonald’s training initiatives include a range of scholarships and tailored programs for high performing restaurant staff, to help build their professional skills and career opportunities both within McDonald’s and other industries, Ms Napoli-Hala said.

McDonald’s also has a Sydney Hamburger University, one of seven in the world, that provides crew with virtual and in-person training.

Once staff graduate, they receive a degree in Hamburgerology.
