Two people have been thrown from a vehicle when it crashed into a car after four drivers were seen racing on a freeway in Melbourne.

Two people have been thrown from a racing vehicle after it crashed into a car on a freeway in Melbourne’s west.
Police have been told up to four cars were seen racing along the Western Ring Road in Sunshine near the Furlong Road on-ramp about 11pm on Monday.
A police spokeswoman said the cars split up on the Western Ring Road, and a short time later one of the cars – which was believed to have been racing – smashed into the back of another car travelling on the same road.
Two of the four occupants in the offending black Holden Commodore sedan were thrown from the car on impact.
Despite the pair being ejected from the car, the four occupants – a woman and three men – only received non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The male driver and female passenger of the second car were not seriously injured.
Police are hoping to speak with anyone who saw the four racing vehicles before the crash.
