A P-plate driver has been ridiculed online after he got out of his car and confronted a much taller driver in an apparent road rage incident.
The footage, shared by Dashcam Footage Australia on social media, shows a white van with green P-plates closely driving behind a white car in what appears to be Milperra, in western Sydney, last Tuesday.
Seemingly becoming frustrated with the white car, the van briefly swerves into the middle lane before swerving back behind the white car moments later.
The vehicles then pull up at traffic lights before the P-plater driver, dressed in a high-vis jacket, jumps out of his car and approaches the other driver, who appeares much larger in stature.
As tensions rise, the driver appears to hit the P-plater, sending him backwards. Retaliating, the P-plater then appears to lunge at the driver, attempting to push him before the pair disappear from view.
“How much do you think little mate regretted his decision when he saw the guy he decided to road rage?” the caption to the video reads.
Many online ridiculed the P-plater for his decision to confront the other driver.
“Poor little man in a big van. Over estimating his importance and stature in society,” one person wrote.
“That was like watching a Jaack Russell try to fight a Great Dane,” another quipped.
“He was prepared to go down fighting wasn’t he!” said another.
News.com.au understands the incident has not been reported to NSW police.
