There was a group of people gathered nearby taking photos and videos.

The gender reveal has become a common act where parents discover the sex of their expected child via an arranged release of colour, often in front of family and friends, and often in a creative or personalised way.

Gender reveals often use blue coloured streamers, cakes, balloons, dyes - and obviously smoke - to indicate if a family is expecting a boy, and pink if a baby girl is on the way.
