It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Costco...

One shopper couldn't hide their surprise when they stumbled upon Christmas decorations and gift wrapping on the shelves at the Marsden Park, NSW Costco.

Sharing a snapshot of the festive scene in his local community Facebook group, he wrote, "Oh no Christmas 🎄 has started to arrive at Costco."

Another shopper, equally taken aback, chimed in with, "Seems a bit premature, doesn't it?"

Meanwhile, a different person admitted, "I don't think I'm mentally prepared for this," and another simply said, "What the hell?"

"It's only August!" another stunned shopper wrote.

On the other hand, many excited shoppers said they were more than ready to get started on the festivities.

"I've been counting down to this day!" a customer wrote. Then one commenter even called it, "Perfect timing."

Another quipped, "There's never 'oh no!' When it comes to Christmas and Costco. It's 'Oh hell no, there goes my bank account.'"

Someone else asked, "Does this mean it's time to put up the Christmas tree?"

It comes after Costco just released it's Halloween range

Among the early-bird Christmas offerings is Costco's popular reversible wrapping paper, adorable Snoopy figurines and tree ornaments with LED lights.

They've also added more products to their online website, such as crackers, snowmen, LED candles, LED wreaths and yes, more Christmas trees.

It comes just weeks after Costco released its range of Halloween decorations.

One shopper remarked, "As my two worlds collide; My Halloween world and my Christmas world. Joy overload — not for my bank."

"Can we just do Halloween first, then move onto Xmas??" asked someone else.
