THE Territory’s iconic landscapes have been photographed with the beauty of the Milkyway in the first Astronomeet.

I'm really enjoying shooting star trails at the moment, and with Uluru as a backdrop you can't really beat it! If you get to the gates right when they open (6:00am) you can see a decent amount of stars this time of year and still get a nicely exposed foreground! Win win! THE Territory’s iconic landscapes have been photographed with the beauty of the Milky Way in the first Astronomeet.

Three professional photographers were treated to perfect weather in Central Australia to capture the Red Centre in all its glory and share it with the public through Instagram.

Photographer Matt Donovan posted several photos in awe of the changing landscape.

“The beauty of Northern Territory isn’t only present during the day. At night the skies are so clear that the Milky Way can easily be seen with the naked eye, like a giant arc across the sky,” he captioned one post.

“It really is amazing how different this gigantic rock looks at various times of the day and from different designated viewing areas,” he said of Uluru in another.
