With international travel banned, the capital of the Red Centre has emerged as a popular search destination according to a report from Skyscanner.

The report has revealed Alice Springs as a contender to replace Bali among traditional domestic destinations such as the Whitsundays, Gold Coast and Cairns.

Darwin was also a popular destination among couples and groups who dubbed it as the ‘new Milan’.
