Luxury cruise ship Silver Nova has docked in Darwin, marking her first visit to Australia to begin an inaugural season in the region.
With prices from $550 a day to upwards of $4500, the ship offers nine dining options, a spa, gym, jogging track, casino, pool bar and library.
Launched in April last year, the 54,700 tonne ship is 244m long, 30m wide, and boasts nine decks, and is the 12th addition to Silversea’s fleet.
It hosts 728 passengers in 364 suites, along with a crew of 556 – many of whom disembarked to explore the Top End during the Silver Nova’s stop on Monday and Tuesday.
The ship is the first hybrid luxury cruiseliner powered by a combination of liquefied natural gas, fuel cell system, and batteries, enabling it to be emissions free when in port.
