"So good!"

This week, one man took to the Kmart Home Decor & Hacks Australia Facebook to share his bargain find.

“It's not a hack but I highly recommend the OXX cosmetics Fake Blood from Kmart,” he said.

“$3 a tube looks real and didn't stain my skin like most fake blood does when washed off .. very good quality indeed.”

Comments flowed in singing the product’s praises.

“I agree. Tried this last night and is so good. Doesn’t stain and comes off straight away,” one said.

“I agree I even got it out of my white dress,” added another.

“Thanks for the tip!” said a third.

The OXX product is just one of many Kmart releases which have gotten people talking this Halloween, with their $25 cauldron that emits an eerie mist going viral this month also.

Try the DIY method

In response to the original post, one commenter shared their own recipe for anyone who isn’t able to get their hands on the Kmart product.

“If you’re not worried about staining (as I’m unsure if it washes out yet) and you can’t get your hands on this product, red food colouring, cocoa powder, and glucose syrup works a treat,” the comment said.

Making your own fake blood ahead of the spooky season has also been a trend on TikTok lately, with content creator @elliewilkinsmakeup sharing her own recipe as well, including flour, honey, and both red and blue food colouring, plus some coffee granules if you’d like to thicken it up.

“These bloods are completely safe to use on the face, and unless you have any allergies to any of the ingredients, they’re also safe to be used around the mouth,” she said in the video.
