Horoscopes March 18 to 24, 2023

If unsolicited advice feels like criticism, it’s time to shut out the noise. Read more about your week ahead, according to the stars.

They say too many cooks spoil the broth. And with the equinox, Jupiter’s alignment with newly Piscean Saturn, a new moon, as well as Pluto entering Aquarius for the first time since the late 1770s, the skies look like a chef’s convention! This week, if unsolicited advice feels like criticism, it’s time to shut out the noise, retake control and forge ahead. The best support won’t present in over-the-top pronouncements – rather, it’s the more subtle advice that will enhance life’s flavours in the most appetising of ways.

PISCES (February 20 - March 20)

Are you feeling tired and worn out? Fed up with the general lack of progress, and frustrated by the limitations you have to contend with? When we start to notice negative things the list of complaints gets longer and longer. Yet while you’ve definitely got some tricky issues to deal with, there are positive signs, too. If you focus on what’s good in your world this week, the “March of destiny” suggests that, even if you can’t make everything perfect, the moment you decide to stop worrying, everything will start to get a whole lot better.

ARIES (March 21 - April 20)

What are you hoping to sort out? Your romantic life? Your economic situation? The saga you’re embroiled in? Your health and fitness? The potential you’re not quite fulfilling? The dream that hovers frustratingly out of reach? This equinox week, with the new moon in your sign, it’s possible for you to make positive headway in all of these areas (and more). Don’t expect miracles or set your expectations too high. Just watch carefully for signs of transformation; you’ll see indications of encouraging change.

TAURUS (April 21 - May 21)

You need to be patient. You need to be skilful and shrewd. You know this, but it’s not easy to summon up these qualities when you want to move on from an unsatisfactory situation. The issue you’re dealing with is pressing and you’re so keen to sort it that you’re prepared to take a calculated risk. Under this week’s powerful skies, you can’t help but take action. But you don’t have to rush. The equinox brings inspiring insight, enabling you to create a plan to move you forwards in a sensible way that suits you.

GEMINI (May 22 - June 22)

Sometimes we need to be bold and question the attitude of the people around us. Since you doubt the wisdom of someone’s plan, you need to voice your concerns. If you hear a good reason to accept what’s being proposed, you’ll be able to dismiss your reservations. If not? You’ll know your suspicions are appropriate. People tend to be defensive when they’re bluffing. Even if you get a strong reaction, you won’t make things worse. You know the right thing has to happen – by being brave this equinox week, you’ll ensure it does.

CANCER (June 23 - July 23)

Big decisions don’t always have as much impact on our lives as we think they will. It’s the little choices that have an incremental effect that tends to have the most significant consequences. You might feel, this equinox week, as if it doesn’t matter what you do, where you go or how you spend your time. That nothing “significant” hangs on anything. But, under the powerful new moon, if you set the right plans and procedures in motion, you can accomplish a lot, and still have a great week.

LEO (July 24 - August 23)

What did we do before the internet? How did we cope in the days before we could follow the opinions (and lifestyles) of millions of people all over the world? Yet there’s an “emotional network” that’s been in existence since forever. Our lives intertwine with the lives of people we’ve never met, and our thoughts and actions have a far greater impact than we think. This equinox week heightens your sensitivity and empowers your ability to make valuable connections. Stay generous-hearted, and you’ll find the support you need.

VIRGO (August 24 - September 23)

With a delicate touch we can cause as much destruction as we can with a hefty thwack. A burst bubble is a burst bubble (irrespective of whether it’s pricked with a pin or slammed with a pickaxe). A bubble has to burst this equinox week. If you don’t do anything, it will burst by itself. And, if you prefer, you can wait for this to happen. But since you have interests you want to protect, it’s worth taking action. It will give you control over when the bubble bursts. And that will give you a significant advantage – and power over what happens next.

LIBRA (September 24 - October 23)

Some people live in a concrete world. Not because they’re surrounded by bricks and mortar, but because their lives are structured and solid. They like order and stability. They like them so much they consider spontaneity and flexibility to be weaknesses. But there’s nothing wrong with being open-minded and adaptable. In fact, it’s a strength. With regards to the powerful attraction you feel towards a proposition that can’t possibly be sensible, well, what’s sensible about life? Enjoy the adventure on offer this equinox week.

SCORPIO (October 24 - November 22)

If you hold up your hands and count all your fingers, what number do you get? Ten? You’re not counting right! Let’s try together. Hold up your right hand and count down from ten, starting with your thumb. Ten, nine, eight, seven, six. Now hold up the other hand. One, two, three, four, five. Add the five to the six and what do you get? Ha! The reason you’re feeling baffled by something that should be straightforward is that a misleading accounting procedure is being used. The equinox brings the clarity to see through this.

SAGITTARIUS (November 23 - December 21)

What’s the weather like in your neck of the woods? Seen anything good on TV? Let’s not bother with your prediction this week. Let’s talk trivia, instead. It’s so much easier to chat about inconsequential things, isn’t it? Well, it often seems that way. But sometimes, we have to look at our challenges and face the facts. The circumstances you’re dealing with look difficult. There’s no doubt you’ve got your work cut out for you this week. But the new moon brings courage. If you believe in yourself and your abilities, you’ll get the outcome you seek.

CAPRICORN (December 22 - January 20)

There are times when truths need to be told and facts need to be faced. While diplomacy, sensitivity and kindness are essential at such moments, we can’t avoid being honest just because we’re nervous of someone responding negatively to info they need to hear. The same approach applies to ourselves. Just as we need to be firm but fair with others, we have to be self-disciplined, too. The “March of destiny” offers the support you need to make a major change. It will be much easier if you’re self-reflective, and honest.

AQUARIUS (January 21 - February 19)

Theme parks might offer thrills that smaller local fairs can’t offer, but there’s still a thrill of excitement when the carousel and the fairy floss arrive in the neighbourhood. Aquarians are particularly good at Whac-A-Mole (one of my favourite fairground challenges). With your innovative mind, you’re able to deal with any problems that pop up with speed and dexterity. The equinox heightens your reflexes and enhances your intuition. Your ability to deal with any issues will ensure you’ve got plenty of time left over for some fun.
