Aussie shoppers have issued a warning to others who have been hitting bargain websites to order Christmas decorations.

Many people are getting into the Christmas spirit early this year as well as watching every penny spent.

But one Aussie shopper has warned others about ordering from bargain website, Temu, after receiving her items that left her feeling far from festive.

Shopper's warning on buying Xmas decorations from Temu

The woman hit Facebook to share the items she received from the website, which look hilarious different from what she expected.

The items the shopper purchased were gingerbread ornaments in the shape of Christmas trees, trains, house, gingerbread men - and a typo can be seen on some.

"Temu did me dirty. Merry Chitarsms!" she posted, along with some photos of her purchases.

The woman went on to explain that she didn't realise the error could also be seen on the item listing online - a detail she probably should have noticed before adding the items to cart.

"The rest of the set is super cute, and with discounts, I only paid $6," she wrote, admitting she has zero regrets.

"It's been four hours since they were delivered. Every time I walk past them, I crack up."

Shoppers couldn't help but laugh at the fail

Shoppers couldn't help but laugh at the hilarious shopping fail, with one person pointing out they didn't exactly get it wrong.

"It still says Christmas, you just have to read it up and down," they said.

But others were in stitches.

"OMG, I thought these were homemade and didn't want to be mean, that's hilarious," another shopper shared.

Be careful what you order

The post prompted others to share similar shopping fails from the website.

"We had a sign that said Norch Pole for years," one person laughed.

"I bought a Merry Christmas shirt from Temu the other week. It said Me ry Christmas," another added.

And another urged fellow bargain hunters via TikTok to be careful when shopping online because items don't always arrive as they appear on the website.

"Be careful what you order. Read the measurements and do not go off of pictures," she captioned a clip of her order.
