I don’t know about you, but one of my favourite parts of any kind of event that would warrant a food truck or two is chowing down on a chip on a stick.

They have all the warm, salty goodness of regular chips, but in a fun and convenient shape - what’s not to love.

Now, you can have them at home with the help of Kmart’s new viral product.

“Add to cart now”

Kmart has taken to TikTok this week to share the news that the brand new Spiral Potato Slicer has launched, allowing you to make a chip on a stick at home.

“PSA: Kmart's spiral potato slicer is a game changer,” the post says.

“Make simple, tasty snacks in a flash. Add to cart now!”

The product, which costs $5.50, consists of multiple skewers, a handle and a cutter.

All you have to do is attach the cutter to the skewer, pop on the potato, then add the handle to the other side to secure it. Rotate the cutter to turn the potato into a spiral, then fry or air fry to perfection.

“MUST HAVE”

Commenters on the post were obsessed with the budget buy.

“I love Kmart,” said one person.

“MUST HAVE,” another added.

Some even pointed out how affordable the product really is, given that at a food truck a good chip on a stick will set you back at least $10. In this cost of living crisis? No thank you.

“I’d betray any time of the day, like 10$ is too much and I'm broke,” another said.

Kmart’s done it again!

Kmart has their finger on the pulse when it comes to kitchen buys at the moment, having also just launched a spin off of the viral microwave toastie maker - the Microwave Grill Plate.

The product is also $15, just like the OG, but it’s larger, perfect for sandwiches, focaccias, chicken, fish and other meals directly in your microwave, according to the Kmart website.

Influencer @dina.sweethome.style_ shared a video to Instagram using the product. First, she heated it up in the microwave for 60 seconds, before loading it up with a delicious sandwich. She heated it for 3 minutes in the microwave, and was left with a perfectly toasted sandwich.

“If you loved the small microwave sandwich toaster from Kmart… you [are] going to love this new larger microwave grill even more,” she wrote in her post.

“I have made toasted sandwiches , grilled chicken and halloumi and omg it’s amazing. It’s great for work lunches, holidays and if you have allergies and can’t share a grill at work with your work colleagues this is the solution.

“And noooo does not come out soggy!”
