The Shell Questacon circus completed a monthlong tour of the Northern Territory, wrapping up with a two-day show at the Darwin Showgrounds.
The event was open to the public and was complete with activities and science shows, including a presentation on fire.
Sixteen university students completing their Masters of Science Communication Outreach at Australian National University visited schools to promote science and give children the opportunity to get hand on.
Questacon’s Clare Van Dorssen said more than 1500 people walked through Foskey Pavilion on Saturday and Sunday.
“It was really great; today has been full on,” she said.
Nine-year-old Leah Clift was at the show with her mother and brother.
The St Paul’s Catholic Primary School student received a visit to her school by Questacon during the week and dragged her family along to the weekend event.
“I loved doing the experiments,” she said of the show at her school.
Her favourite exhibit at the circus was the silhouette room.
