“Be it via treats, games, attention, freedom, social interactions or life rewards.”

“A lot of dogs will scratch the back door or bark at you to get let into the house,” adds Jen, “If you open the door while the dog is barking or scratching that will become the norm.

“Instead wait until your dog is quiet or doing something else before opening it.”
