When Whitney Allen was 26 weeks pregnant with her second son, the unthinkable happened.
On the steps of the family home she shared with her beloved husband, Ryan, she watched in horror as he went into cardiac arrest.
The police officer had suffered a severe reaction to a bee sting and Whitney performed CPR until paramedics arrived.
But Ryan had been without oxygen for 20 minutes and suffered an anoxic brain injury. After six months bravely battling, Ryan passed away when the couple’s youngest boy, Leo, was just three months old.
