We've all been there (well, some of us). It's the night before school camp and suddenly nothing is packed and your kid has magically outgrown everything.

One Aussie mum recently found herself in this position, packing at almost midnight. But the situation escalated when she encountered a problem...

That precisely no one can relate to.

Or perhaps you're amongst the few who can?

"Oh my god Peter Alexander, I'm so annoyed"

Mum Amelia shared a clip about her school camp dilemma on TikTok, captioning it, "Self-indulgent whining no doubt, but do I have any grounds to be annoyed? Or do I need to suck it up and quit whinging." She also tags luxe sleepwear retailer Peter Alexander.

"Oh my god Peter Alexander, I'm so annoyed," the frustrated mum begins, speaking to camera.

"I need you guys to tell me if I'm being completely unreasonable. So my son was going off to camp, he had a growth spurt. He is 11 and his pajamas no longer fit.

"The day before camp, we go into Peter Alexander, we choose a pair of size 12 pajamas - full price," she adds, grimacing.

"So we go to pay for them, hand them over and go to select slippers. We meet her [the sales assistant] back at the cashier, she's already packed the pajamas in the bag, we pay for both and we leave."

So far, so good.

"At 11:30, I'm packing his bag for camp, I go to fold the pajamas and take off the tag, and I realise... she got a fresh pair and switched the size 12 for size 10.

"So camp is at 8am, and the Peter Alexander store opens at 9am. I have no choice, none of his pajamas fit. I have to send him in the tiny pajamas."

Amelia returns to the store when it opens, and while they admit they made a mistake, since the pajamas have already been sent to camp, there's nothing that can be done.

"No credit note, nothing despite the fact that they switched them out.

"So tell me, do I have any grounds for a gift certificate or anything, or do you think I just have to cop it now?

"Not only out of pocket for these tiny pajamas, but I also still have to buy him new pajamas because of his growth spurt."

"Should have just gone to Kmart"

The clip attracted hundreds of comments, most of them advising that the solution to her problem had been clear: KMART.

"I would have gone to Kmart or even Coles at 7am and bought him a new pair, then exchanged the PA ones," read the top comment with almost 500 likes.

Dozens of others agreed Kmart would have been their first choice, too, and were bewildered as to why it hadn't been for Amelia.

"PA for school camp! Tell me you're rich without telling me you're rich," one said brutally.

Another added, "Sadly, cop it. Because when I'm paying full price at Peter Alexander, I am making sure I have the right size."

Many others agreed that once the pajamas had been worn, the mum didn't have much recourse.

Amelia finally defended herself for not going to Kmart or the supermarket when she discovered the sizing difference, writing in the comments, "That is definitely the answer if I could go back in time!"

Many others were confused about the entire "Pajama Drama", as Amelia had called it.

"I would've just sent him in trackies and a jumper that fit him," one suggested, while another wrote, "If both new and old were small, why wouldn't you just send him in the pjs from home and return the exxy PA set?"
