Mum shares 45c cult secret seasoning hack that makes everything taste amazing

A mum has spilled the beans on her 45c 'secret weapon' ingredient that makes food taste amazing, but foodies are mad she revealed a cult secret.

The savvy mum took to a popular Facebook group to share the seasoning hack and claimed it elevates even the simplest of dishes.

It even makes her little one eat his veggies! We're listening. 👀

"Mummy this is so yummy"

The mum uses the Woolworths essentials French onion soup packet mix as a seasoning on things like roasted veggies and chicken and says it makes them taste "incredible."

She wrote, "Not sure if everyone is aware or knows about this. But I have been putting this on my chicken and veggies for my family," and then shared a photo of the packet.

The mum also explained that her four-year-old son doesn't usually eat much for dinner, but after she tried out the seasoning, he now eats much more (and all his veggies!).

The woman added that her preschooler often asks for seconds and says, "Mummy this is so yummy.".

She also noted that while the flavour is delicious, it's hard to describe because it doesn't have a strong onion flavour.

According to the Woolies website, the mixture contains 33% dehydrated onion, cornflour, salt, sugar, potato starch, flavourings and colourings.

"Shh, don't tell anyone"

But apparently, the tip is already well known amongst home cooks and people wish she kept it on the down low!

Some even said that it might be "impossible" to buy now, and they need to "stock up."

"Shhhh don't tell everyone, my local shops are always out of it because it's so popular," one fan of the hack wrote.

Another said, "Quick delete this post so nobody else sees. It's so hard to find already."

And one person claimed that they "haven’t seen it in a week," and that "people are stockpiling it when it does hit the shelves."

Then some of the culprits came forward and admitted they "caved and bought 10 packets."

One French Onion connoisseur even shared that they were planning on "buying a pallet" of the soup mix when it's back in stock.

Lots of other soup mix lovers said you can use it to flavour "nearly any dish" and shared what they make with it.

"It was my grandmother's secret ingredient. Used it in rissoles, savoury mince... so good!" somebody shared.

Some people said they also use it for chops, roasts, pasta bakes and in creamy pasta sauces to "add something extra."

Another person said you can simply mix it in with yoghurt for a tasty dip. And we've even seen people use it to make the perfect crisply roast potatoes.
