Mum finds hidden money and WILD letter inside $7 op-shop bag

A woman has posted a TikTok video revealing the bizarre items that she discovered had been stashed inside her bargain op-shop purchase. 

When a US mum scored a second-hand Coach bag for $6.99 at her local op-shop, she was thrilled to have nabbed such a great deal.

But as she started cleaning it out, she realised she got a whole lot more than she bargained for.

When she lifted the bottom liner of the designer bag, she discovered hidden cash and a letter from the previous owner that is so scandalous, people are now demanding another update.

Posting on TikTok, the excited mum explained how she’d found $300 cash wrapped in the letter from a woman named Martha.

“I have three children, they will give my things to Goodwill when I die, so I am putting their inheritance inside all my favourite things,” Martha’s letter said.

Things got even more wild when Martha went on to explain how she ended up with the bag herself.

“This Coach bag was given to me years ago by my husband’s girlfriend. Well actually, I came home early from a visit to my parent’s house. She must have left quickly because she forgot her bag and shoes,” she wrote.

“I carried this bag every day. I wonder if my husband ever knew this was his girlfriend’s. I carried it daily.”

Martha went on to explain that she was giving it away because her kids wouldn’t want it.

“So go buy yourself a new bag. Love Martha,” she signed off.

"We've found another letter from Martha!" 

The woman’s TikTok video (above) went viral, amassing 7.7 million views in a matter of days.

“Martha was clearly a badass woman. The fact that she included all the tea along with the cash,” one user commented.

“Be a Martha in a world full of Karens,” wrote another, with the hashtag #beamartha quickly spreading.

So it wasn’t long before another person commented explaining that they, too, had found a letter from Martha hidden in their op-shop purchase. 

“I’m going to go see her tonight, we’re going to see what she’s got,” the mum explained in her update.

Now the woman’s followers are waiting with bated breath to find out what gossip Martha has shared in her next letter. We can't wait!
