IT is arguable that Wangi Falls has never looked so beautiful, as shown in this photograph that has gone viral online.

The Milky Way was captured over the Litchfield National Park waterfall by Christopher Nobs, taken while camping at the ground with family across the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

He said he wanted to practise some astrophotography at his favourite spot in the park.

“In the back of my head, I always wanted to shoot the Milky Way, being out in the NT, so I decided to practise a shoot with a waterfall as foreground and the next night this image happened.”

Mr Nobs is working with Tourism NT as he travels the Nature’s Way from Darwin through Kakadu National Park, and on to Litchfield and Nitmiluk National Parks.

The picture has gone viral on Northern Territory – Australia’s Outback Facebook page, attracting more than 5000 likes and comments.
