LAKSA is the word on the street and the taste on everyone’s lips at the moment, with the 2020 Laksa Festival officially underway.
While for some it’s a chance to try something new, others like laksa connoisseur Gino Luglietti will do what they can to reach Laksa Legend status through the food fair.

While the quality of the stock is what makes a laksa good or bad, Mr Luglietti said the innovative element of the festival brings the best out of local chefs.
“I definitely love trying new laksas but what’s particularly exciting is the innovation laksa, for example the burger, I’ve heard there are dumplings, all those sorts of things,” he said.
“Last year I had a laksa pie and it was one the greatest experiences of my life.”
He has one last “red hot tip” for those joining him on the laksa trail.

”If you’re going to eat a laksa, don’t wear a white shirt,” he said.
