Kmart fans divided over 'pointless' new mini range

"Just because we can, doesn't mean we should."

Shoppers confused by Kmart's new 'mini' range.

Kmart has once again sparked debate among shoppers, this time with the release of its latest ‘mini’ range.

The budget retailer’s new $15 mini kettle and mini single-slice toaster have left fans divided, with some saying they love the compact items for small kitchens, while others have deemed the set "absolutely useless."

The debate started when Kmart took to its Instagram to showcase the latest kitchen range, which comes in a light blue colourway.

In the post, Kmart wrote, "Our new mini kettle and single toaster are the perfect addition to cute and cosy kitchens, $15 each."

The caption accompanied a Reel demonstrating how the pint-sized appliances worked, toasting just one slice of bread and boiling one litre of water at a time.

"Useless"

The post quickly went viral, with absolutely no one holding back their thoughts.

"So pointless 🤣," one person wrote, while someone else agreed it was "useless."

"Seriously, who has only one piece of toast at a time? LOL. It's just another gimmick item to take up space," said another.

"Just because we can, doesn’t mean we should," quipped a fourth.

Commenters praise the 'cute' new range

However, other pointed out the many practical uses, with one person commenting, "It’s good for senior people and it’s also probably a low-wattage item as well. I bought the small rice cooker!"

Another mentioned, "Great for elderly who can't lift heavy kettles 🧡," while someone else added, "Perfect for my arthritic hands."

"Good for gluten-free girlies who can’t use the office toaster," a different person noted.

And this mum mentioned: "I also think it’s great for little kids’ kitchens. Practical kid kitchens have been becoming more popular, and I think this is awesome for that."

And another replied, "Yes, great for teaching my toddler to prep food independently."

What do you think? Cute or pointless? Or both?! Tell us in the poll above.
