A KILLER crocodile about four metres long has been filmed swimming near Katherine with a whole cow in its mouth.
Territory boreman Mick Estens said he spotted the mighty beast hauling his lunch upstream in the King River from a helicopter on Thursday morning, about 25km away from the Katherine Bridge.
“We were on our way to put a pump in the water out at Manbulloo Station when we spotted him from the air,” he said.
“He obviously had just snapped up a brahman for his breakfast and was looking pretty pleased with himself.
“As of yesterday the dead cow was floating near a bank at his camp near the junction of the King and Katherine River.
“I was glad he was filling himself up with a brahman and not a boreman that’s for sure.”
Last week a 2.5m saltie was also spotted trekking the Central Arnhem Rd at a construction site near Bulman, located about 300km east of Katherine.

Construction crews were not sure where the croc was headed, as there wasn’t any water nearby, but were glad he used the detour lane like all good road users.
