BOUTIQUE beer lovers will get to try all the locally brewed beers in one place, as well as some never before sold in the Territory, at the Darwin Indie Craft Beer Festival.

The festival, organised by Beaver Brewery owner Chris Brown with the help of several independent breweries from around the Territory, will showcase boutique beers from the Territory and Tasmania.

Mr Brown said it would be the first fully independent festival of its kind in Darwin, run by families rather than a corporation.

“It’s a first time a lot of beers will have been in the NT and Darwin,” he said.

“I worked in Hobart so I have contacts there.

“I thought ‘why not make the two most extreme places come together?’”

Amazing new NT News subscription offer: $1 a week for the first 12 weeks

The free, family-friendly event will be held at the Tracy Village Social and Sports Club in Lyons on Saturday, July 18, from noon to 8pm.
