Iconic video perfectly sums up what Australians are like

Typical Aussie culture is known to be pretty laid back - to the point where it’s almost concerning.

Think driving with a coffee mug because it’s ‘easier’ and somehow not spilling it on yourself, or leaving a task until the last minute and still getting a “Good job!” from your boss.

Well, it seems social media has found the epitome of this, and as usual, people are divided.

“Nice day for it!”

An Aussie Reddit user has taken to the platform to share an iconic video that is well and truly the epitome of Aussie culture.

The video, shared from the Instagram account @bradlongworth, has been captioned ‘Nice day for it…’, and honestly, it’s hard not to agree.

In it, three men are seen floating down the Yarra in Melbourne, fishing and donning hats and a blanket - because you can never forget sun safety.

“What a life”

The majority of commenters thought the video was hilarious.

“They are just living their best lives,” said one person.

“Anyone that hates on this is just jealous. Enjoy it lads!” another agreed.

“Just some guys being absolute dudes. What a life,” said a third.

Some were more impressed by the endeavour.

“I’m impressed 3 adults managed to get on,” said another.

“I'm genuinely impressed that mattress is keeping them all afloat and seemingly balanced,” another person agreed.

“Not sure I'd be eating anything they catch in the Yarra…”

However, there were a few party poopers out there. Note to self: don’t swim in the Yarra.

“Anyone who says quality of life in Melbourne is not still world class needs to see this. Having said that, if they fall in the Yarra they will probably die,” said one person.

“Not sure I'd be eating anything they catch in the Yarra. I know it's better than it was, but it's still far from good,” said another.

“There is zero chance it doesn’t end in getting wet & diseased right?” a third added.
