A DOG has been rescued by police in London, after officers found it locked inside a parked car on the hottest day of the year.
The London Evening Standard reports the dog was locked inside the vehicle at Finsbury Park, London, with no sign of the owner nearby.
According to their report, the animal was cowering on the floor on the driver’s side. He was lying in intense heat with no water.
Officers had no choice but to smash the windows and free the animal, who was taken to the RSPCA.
Sergeant Richard Berns took a photo of the smashed car window and distressed animal and posted it on Twitter.
