The arrival of a British influencer’s first baby has sparked a major furore online after the birth was announced by her boxer boyfriend’s sporting rival, angering fans.
Molly-Mae Hague and partner Tommy Fury, who met on Love Island UK in 2019, welcomed a little girl on January 23.
A week later, the celebrity couple – who have amassed millions of followers as a result of their TV relationship – have just shared a series of adoring snaps with their new bub.
The name of their daughter hasn’t been revealed.
However, their loyal fans are up in arms after the special moment was “ruined” by YouTube star Jake Paul.
The professional boxer has been trying to get Fury into the ring for a highly publicised fight since 2021, taking to Twitter to state the British sports star had “no excuse” now the baby was born on January 28.
“Jake Paul is wrong for this, he is just trying to do anything that will get under Tommy Fury’s skin,” one TikTok user declared in a now viral video.
“He knows Molly-Mae would have wanted to announce this herself.”

The video prompted a flurry of support from other social media users who all agreed Paul was “wrong” for revealing the baby had been born before Molly-Mae and Fury had the chance to share the news themselves.
“I feel sorry for Molly for not being able to announce it how she wanted to,” one commented.
“If I was Molly I’d be fuming,” another said.
As another raged: “He ruined it.”
Molly, a mega influencer with almost 7 million followers, had been documenting her pregnancy for fans – previously telling them she “couldn’t wait” to introduce them to her first born.
Fans however have showered the new mum with messages of congratulations following her official post, which included a photo of the new family at the hospital.
“23/01/23,” she captioned the touching snap along with a heart emoji.
“Oh my Molly️, beautiful just absolutely beautiful,” one said.
“Sobbing, congratulations you beautiful people,” another declared.
“She’s perfect,” someone else added.
Paul and Fury have since scheduled their clash for February 26 in Saudi Arabia, which some have pointed out will take him away from his newborn.
Their lengthy “feud” has seen them previously schedule two other fights that were subsequently cancelled, leaving tension between the pair bubbling.
Fury is reportedly earning $US2.5 million ($A3.5 million), while Paul will likely pocket at least four-times that amount, The Mirror stated.
“Jake Paul’s boxing career ends on February 26th and I can finally move on with mine,” Fury said in a recent statement.
“Every time I go out right now, everybody asks me about the Jake Paul fight.
“After this fight is done, everybody will be asking me how it felt to knock Jake Paul out. The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a YouTuber.”
