THE SEARCH for the NT’s cutest smile is over with seven-month-old Darwin bub Ayo Ogunnubi voted by you, our readers, as having the Territory’s cutest smile.

Pictured in his gorgeous leopard onesie it’s not hard to see why Ayo’s such a smiley and happy baby.

Ayo’s mother Emma Grieve was ecstatic her boy had been named atop of our list but wasn’t at all surprised.

“His smile is contagious, everyone who the baby meets lights up his face and everyone else’s face as well,” she said.

“It’s pretty exciting. I’m not gonna lie, we’re pretty happy about it. His dad will be stoked when I call him about it.”

Our poll was a close run thing with many hundred people casting their votes for their favourite bub.

Ayo received 40 votes (16.9 per cent of the total vote) and was a narrow winner over second place getter Logan Grieve of Katherine who received 33 votes (13.9 per cent of the total vote).

Rounding out the Top 5 were Zion Leuelu of Katherine in third place with 30 votes (12.7 of the vote), Archie Graham of Malak in fourth place with 26 votes (11 per cent) and Romeo Waianga of Alice Springs in fifth with 16 votes (6.75 percent of the vote).

Ms Grieve said Ayo was simply one of those babies who is always happy.

“Everything, life in general (makes him smile). Honestly he’s constantly smiling,” she said.

“He’s a really lovely boy in general … he’s the happiest boy alive, well, at least the happiest boy in Darwin.”
