First metal lure success leaves fisho ‘chuffed’

FISHO Lachie Orange nabbed a beaut spanish mackerel off rocks at Fannie Bay. He caught the 4kg, 90cm specimen using a two-inch metal slug on six-pound line and a small egg-beater reel.

FISHO Lachie Orange nabbed a beaut spanish mackerel off rocks at Fannie Bay.

He caught the 4kg, 90cm specimen using a two-inch metal slug on six-pound line and a small egg-beater reel.

“It’s the first fish I have caught on a metal lure and I’m still chuffed about it,” he said.

Lachie is our Catch of the Day winner. For his efforts, he is awarded 10 assorted Spanyid Sniper Vibes (100mm).
