Kyle Sandilands copped a grilling from co-host Jackie O about the eye-watering cost of his recent European honeymoon on-air this morning.
Sandilands and new wife Tegan Kynaston recently enjoyed a lavish three-week honeymoon in the south of France and Spain – but they weren’t alone for the trip, bringing everyone from their baby son Otto, to his nanny, to multiple employees of The Kyle and Jackie O Show along for the ride.

Inside Kyle's OTT Euro honeymoon
As Jackie O revealed today as she went through the final itemised spending list for the holiday, the costs were astronomical. As it turns out, recent media reports that it had been a “$100,000 honeymoon” were way off.
“I can’t believe ... the amount of money you’ve spent on certain things blow(s) my mind,” Jackie told her co-host, who apparently hadn’t yet seen his itemised spend for the trip.
Costs included $35,000 for first-class return flights to Europe for he and Tegan, $12,000 for car rental and an astronomical $25,000 for “ground transfers”.
“You know why? We had a driver on standby for the entire (holiday) in case someone wanted to go somewhere,” Sandilands revealed. “That’s annoyed me now, I didn’t realise it was going to be so much.”
Accommodation and food for Otto’s nanny cost $21,000, while Kyle also shelled out $7500 to get last-minute economy flights for The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s “Intern” Pete Deppeler to join them on the trip.

No expense spared
Then there were the private jets.
“Of course, Kyle couldn’t bear the thought of getting on an economy plane from one little town to the next,” Jackie said, revealing Kyle had flown private for two short haul flights: Paris to Saint Tropez and Saint Tropez to Barcelona.
Both flights take less than 90 minutes, with average airfares of around $150. The cost for Kyle’s travel? $80,000.
“That’s excessive, wouldn’t you say?” Jackie asked her co-host. “Would you look back and think, that was worth it?”
“Yep, it’s always worth it,” Sandilands insisted. “Flying private – there’s no better way.”
Jackie said she was also stunned by Sandilands’ sky-high total restaurant bill.
“I don’t understand how you’ve spent this much on meals. You obviously went out to expensive restaurants, and you did pay … all the meals tallied up to $60,000.”

Tips – $20,000
Casino spendings – $6000
St Tropez accommodation (two weeks) – $155,000

Jackie finished by revealing the total cost of this three-week honeymoon: a staggering $513,430.
“Oh Kyle, the things you could buy with that. On a scale of 1 to 10, how good were the memories?” she asked him.
“In all honesty, I was so high for most of it, I don’t have any memories,” Sandilands said, confessing he’d made the most of France and Spain’s relaxed marijuana laws during the trip. “I slept a lot on that holiday.”
“But listen, you only get married once. Oh wait … that’s my second.”
