NUMBERS 10 - 8: DARWIN’S TOP 10 RESTAURANTS

NUMBERS 7 - 5: DARWIN’S TOP 10 RESTAURANTS

The count down has already thrown up some interesting – and contentious – decisions.

Many Darwinites would have tipped popular dining destinations Chow and PM Eat and Drink to crack the top 5, but the two venues came in at numbers 6 and 7 respectively.

Each restaurant was ranked on food quality, service, price and ambience out of a total of 50 points.

Be sure to visit ntnews.com.au on Saturday, when we reveal our full list – including the coveted title of “Darwin’s top restaurant”.

4. Hanuman

Sitting down in one of Darwin’s premier restaurants to sample the Indian Thai fusion meals is always a pleasure.

The aromas of the delicious food wafting from the kitchen give patrons a preview to the flavours they are about to taste.

And it didn’t disappoint. The lamb korma and butter chicken curries were rich in flavour and the entree, nyonya pork rolls, were succulent.

3. Nirvana

Nirvana is a culinary experience to be savoured.

An eclectic wonderland complete with the Mona Lisa, woodwork from the wild west and fairy lights; you are entertained by live local musicians and exotic belly dancers.

The friendly waitstaff tend to your every need while your tastebuds are tantalised by fresh Asian flavours accompanied by your favourite cocktail.
