A second fisho ran up to grab the fish but both backed off when the croc crawled onto shore.

The croc had a stare-off with the fishos while chowing down, before slithering back into the water.

Cahills Crossing is a notorious croc-infested area, with hundreds of people each year endangering their lives near the water.

In May tourist Lauren French made a meal of herself when she was photographed sitting on the river’s edge in a bikini.

Ms French wasn’t aware of the Crossing’s reputation at the time and wasn’t fazed by the public backlash.

“Everyone in the comments was like ‘it’s natural selection’, I was like well I must be naturally lucky,” she said.
