DARWIN RSPCA has received a $3000 donation from News Corp Australia that has left their tails wagging this Christmas.

The animal welfare organisation received the donation as part of News Corp’s News In The Community program.

RSPCA general manager Peter King said the money would be put to good use.

“Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year for the RSPCA Darwin,” he said.

“We have already seen an influx of unwanted, lost and neglected animals coming through our doors, and foresee this will continue over the festive season.

“By donating, you’ll ensure we are able to provide all these animals the love and care they need to recover – ready for the next stage of their life.”

The not-for-profit, based in Berrimah, was nominated for the $3000 grant by NT News staff member Jayne Hinton.
