Bluey gnomes and merch return to Hammerbarn-inspired Bunnings

Hecuba is back... this time with friends inspired by our favourite Aussie animation.

It's been a little over a year since they sent Aussies into a frenzy. Now, we can confirm that our beloved Bluey gnomes are coming back to Bunnings!

From Wednesday 29th July, Bunnings is going to be transforming once again to a real-life Hammerbarn, offering up a heap of exclusive toys, merch and homewares all inspired by our favourite Aussie animation.

Hammerbarn is back!

As well as some DIY activities the kids can enjoy while mum and dad wander the aisles, some much-loved favourites will be making an appearance on the shelves - including Hecuba, Tony, Jeremy and the ever-serene Meditation Gnome.

This time, they're bringing some friends for you to take home with them, including Gerald and the Bride and Groom Gnomes (RRP $22.50)

It was a parntership that was a no-brainer when both parties saw just how successful the first collab was.

“Bluey and Bunnings couldn’t stay apart – the duo just works!" Bunnings General Manager Marketing, Justine Mills said.

"It’s clear how much fans connect with the show given how quickly last year’s Bluey gnomes flew off the shelves. We know they will be eager to build on their collections, and we’re excited to see how customers respond to our new range and in-store activities.”

A Bluey bedroom makeover!

The range will also branch out to more homewares, so you can turn your home into a Bluey and Bingo-inspired bedroom.

"Following the success of the Hammerbarn experience last year, we’re thrilled to be working with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio again to bring another slice of Bluey’s world into homes across Australia – this time with our Bluey-inspired kids’ homewares range, and of course, the much-loved Bluey gnomes," Justine added, confirming the addition of the bedroom range.

More Hammerbarn merch to collect

For those who are a sucker for Bunnings merch, there is a range of Hammerbarn items to collect, too, like the Hammerbarn-branded socks, keyrings featuring different characters, a tote bag and bucket hat. I mean, who doesn't love a bucket hat! And they're all under ten bucks!

All items will be available while stocks last, and if it's a gnome you're after, you better get in quick.

Last year, limited edition ornaments - otherwise known as “husbands” in reference to a scene from the show where the canine family visit a hardware store for a pizza oven - sold out quickly. So much so, that people were trying to sell theirs for ridiculously inflated prices.

One eBay listing at the time was selling four garden gnomes (which retailed for $19 each), two dog plush toys and tote for a gobsmacking price of $2,5000. Yes, for real life!
