SHOCKED tourists witnessed an epic spectacle at Adelaide River yesterday when a massive croc ambushed another croc and threw it around like a ragdoll.
The footage shows 3m croc, Turbo, swimming up close to the Pathfinder Jumping Crocodile Cruise to snap up some meat when another 5.5m croc called Nifty emerged from the water below.
The ferocious Nifty clamped his jaws on the stomach of the smaller croc, flinging him around.
WA tourist Emilia Hemsley, who filmed the heavyweight fight, said she was in shock when it happened because the larger croc “came out of nowhere.”
Skipper Steven Pitkin was at the helm of the cruise when the croc fight broke out at about 9am on Wednesday.
“It was a surprise for everyone as we didn’t know Nifty was in the area,” he said.
“Turbo has had a hard life. When he was about 1m back in early 2000 he had to be rescued after some fisherman had tried to capture him and put zip ties around his jaw.
“Very sad, but little Turbo is a fighter and even showed up that afternoon with a few battle scars but still alive.
“Nifty is a big bully, knows he’s a big boss, and it’s not the first time he’s thrown another croc around.”

Ms Hemsley said she was relieved Turbo later managed to escape and swim away.
“I have never seen crocs in the wild and this was the first crocodile encounter on the tour,” she said.
“Later on, I asked the tour guide if crocodiles eat each other.”
