Colour and culture abound at Nepal Festival

The rich culture of Nepal will be on show at the Darwin Waterfront with food stalls, music and dance performances and more.

THE rich culture of Nepal will be on show at the Darwin Waterfront on Saturday with food stalls, music and dance performances and more.

A big marquee has been set up at the waterfront for the 2021 Nepal Festival that will be on Saturday from 4-8.30pm.

Event co-ordinator Bhairab Yogi said the festival includes a number of stalls offering traditional food, and costumes, song and dance will all be on display.

“Explore and learn about the beautiful culture, landscapes, attractions, and travel guides at the information stall throughout the event,” he said.

“Feel the magical cold Himalayas, high mountains and hills, deep valleys, lakes, glaciers, waterfalls, high-current rivers, temples and heritage sites, thick jungles, wild animals, birds, indigenous ethnicities, food, music, colours, arts, language, dresses, Gurkhas and travel plans information.”
