AN acclaimed musician, the director and one of the lead actors in highly-anticipated film High Ground are set to make their way to Darwin for a red carpet premiere next month.
High Ground, which was filmed in Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land, tells the story of a young Aboriginal man Gutjuk who is on a bid to save the last of his family alongside ex-soldier Travis.

Gutjuk is played by first-time screen actor and Gunbalanya man Jacob Junior Nayinggul, who will be one of the VIPs attending the film premiere at the Darwin Entertainment Centre on January 14.

The film’s director, Stephen Maxwell Johnson, is also set to attend as well as member of the band Yothu Yindi Witiyana Marika – who is both an actor in and a producer of the film.
Other cast members in the film include Simon Baker and Jack Thompson.
