THE Amazing Race Australia has landed in the Top End with majestic Nitmiluk Gorge setting the scene for tonight’s grand final.
Tonight’s finale will feature three teams battling it out for $250,000, including the NT’s Deadly Duo, Jasmin Onus Jerome Cubillo.
“To have the grand final and finish line here was so exciting,” Onus said.
“We were so proud the finale was in the Territory at beautiful Nitmiluk Gorge because we love living in the Territory and this is our sunny backyard.”
While Cubillo said: “I was hoping one of the challenges around Nitmiluk would freak out some of the contestants with the crocs and other stuff.”
Aside from the sights, the couple were thrilled to represent Territorians.
“You never see NT mob on TV ever, especially in competitions so to be able to represent the Territory, Darwin and indigenous people in a positive way was part of our motivation (to compete),” said Jasmin.
The Amazing Race Australia airs at 7.30pm tonight.
